Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I truly, truly hope you never harm yourself .. ever.
As with the promise that I made to my husband...I promise not to do any harm to myself.
you are not alone, no matter how alone you feel... lots of us have been right where you are now
know that this is temporary... it WILL get better
as far as wht to do between appointments, can you do anything physical? a long walk or run helps a lot but i see that you dont like to leave the house... can you do anything in the house thats physica? run in place, lift weights, scrub the floors really good... anything that will wear you out ? it really helps a LOT
*more hugs*
it'll get better... eventually... you might have to help it tho
Maybe a yoga dvd? Yoga is really helpful to me.
good luck and please do remember that things get better.
Maybe you could look into a depression support group. Whatever you do, anything is better than not doing anything. Please don't harm yourself - when you feel like this, tell yourself it's the depression talking. Big hugs!
I know this is hard, but one of the things that works for me is to do something that I can completely immerse myself in so that I stop thinking about the way that I feel. Even if it is only for a short time, giving yourself a break from yourself can give you a boost that lasts a while.
What works for me is to read, to listen to podcasts on subjects I'm interested in or doing some gardening.
What works for you may be entirely different. But the key is to do something that takes over your mind for a while, so that you're only thinking about that, instead of the stuff that you're usually turning over in your mind.
