It's finally here!!!

Today is officially the shortest day of the year which means each day will be getting longer after today. It's too bad it won't be clearly noticeable immediately, but for someone like me it's good to know they are getting longer! Also it means it is 3 months until spring arrives!! It helps me to put the winter into a positive spin. 88 days until it is gone LOL.

Yipee!!! I look forward to spring also. Mid-march I will plant tomato seeds indoors and by May I can go and plant my garden. I can last for 88 days!

I like the way you look at things. I just got in an argument with a friend when I tried to explain that today is the longest day of the year being the first day of Winter and then the days will start getting shorter. I can't wait for Spring either!!! We are finally getting out of this drought we've been in for the past 5 years but I'm getting rather sick of the cold and rain every single day. I love it when I'm in the house but I hate having to walk Anny in it twice a day. A very Merry Christmas to you unless you are on DS either night or day. I will be here for anyone who needs to talk, both days. Hugs GB

I have a terrible time with depression at this time of the year. Dark when you get up, dark at almost dinner time.

The December solstice is on either December 20, 21, 22 or 23. It is called Winter Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere, where it is the shortest day of the year. In the Southern Hemisphere, it is the Summer Solstice and the longest day of the year.

I noticed haha was pitch black at 4pm. I'm glad it's spring soon too. I can't wait till its warmer brr

Since that time, we have had lots of ups and downs but I have never intentionally hurt Mr K in anyway.
