Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
So you know...many big industries define legal as: Anything we can get away with, or that's cheaper in the long run than playing by the rules.
Now...I just spoke with someone who worked in the insurance industry for decades. He said unequivocally, consider contacting the Labor Board in your state and filing a complaint about the employer. Also, there should be a state Insurance Commission. They are generally more concerned with representatives than policies, but if you have a rep who's lying or hiding things...that's another good place to start.
My all time favorite however, is Twitter. Companies HATE complaints via Twitter, because EVERYONE will see them. I checked...Aetna DOES have several Twitter accounts, including one that's @AetnaHelp. I'd keep it civil, I'd avoid any cursing or nastiness...but I'd be very blunt in a Tweet about how you just CAN NOT get answers...lol. Hit their pockets...they'll listen. Hope something here helped.
I don't plan on being at this job much longer, but I don't want any surprises in the form of medical bills either. I know the deductable doubled and was told that co-pays were 30 bucks for primary care and 40 for a specialist. Still, I like to see things on paper as I don't trust either insurance companies nor my employer.
HILLARIOUS! As I am typing this message, there is an ad for Aetna right on this page! How ironic.
