Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

Does anyone else ever feel as if the simple act of existing is so tedious and exhausting?
Medication, therapy, journaling, trying to stay positive, work, sleep...lack of sleep, struggling every day after day after day...just to be (or at least act) ok.
I'm not in crisis or anything. I'm not giving up. I just get tired of the struggle sometimes and wonder....is there really ever an end to it?
Or
is this all there is? A tedious never ending pursuit to just to live, feel ok? Be ok?
I do have good days too.....but it always seams to come back to the struggle.

I invited Bill to have dinner with me last Sunday. He wasn't willing to drive 7 hours to mid Michigan and teased me with his beautiful ribs!!! So, of course I ate alone and had cedar salmon

Hey All...I hope that you have a lovely, peaceful beginning of your weekI have a bunch of chores that need doing but may put them off til tomorrow and just hang out with my landlord/roomie todayWhat about you?...Anything special going on?Have a great day and take good care of you!!..Xo

There's a lot of good in the little things
I used to keep a gratitude journal and the worse I feel the more I kean on gratitude
I would think of 5 things to be grateful for every day
They're always there
It can be as simple as morning coffee
Or a nice warm bath
I have found that you never feel as badly if you're feeling gateful
Big hug...xo
My short answer: yes. I struggle many days, but I stay busy trying to help others, meditating/praying, planning for brighter tomorrows, walking an hour per day, road trips (I ave 2500 miles per month on my auto) and looking for ways to build upon my network of one through meetup.com, work buddies and possibly a special someone i may run into by random chance at the grocery store.
I know, I know, I know.
