Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Mistakes are unfortunately the only thing that is going to keep this from happening again.. by not making the same ones. Yes .. boundaries need to be created after you discover them. So a boundary needs to be made next time when you start another relationship. Perhaps if you like meeting people on the internet first in general make it a rule of thumb to only make a serious commitment and meet in person after a month. So you may want to make sure they live relatively nearby.
Also maybe try to spend some time with friends family or pets. If none are available to you at the time sometimes donating clothing to a homeless shelter or a time to a pet shelter makes things seem more worthwhile to be happy for. I am a periodic warm fuzzy do gooder... if that makes any sense.
As far as being introverted. It has it's benefits. There is a book you may be interested in The Introvert Advantage Making most of your inner strengths. By Marti Olsen Laney.
