I dont know about anyone else on here, but I inherited this lousy depression from my mother, who was bi-polar. She was in & out of psych hospitals her whole life & tried to commit suicide a dozen times. For some reason right now, Im really pissed off about this. My dad & grandma were also depressed & had 2 suicides in my family history. It is 10 times worse when it's inherited, because it's never situational. Also, its more common/worse in female offspring. Im SOOO glad I didnt have any daughters now, but even so, 2 of my sons suffer from minor depression. I feel almost guilty to the point where I think I never should have had kids & niether should have my mother. People say if you can survive depression, you are a stronger person, more able to handle crisis, which is true to a point. Some of the things my friends get upset over are nothing to me..a drop in the bucket. THAT I am thankful for, I am a pretty strong person..Sorry, just had to vent. Thanks for listening.

Since that time, we have had lots of ups and downs but I have never intentionally hurt Mr K in anyway. And when we first started dating in 2024 he let me know, although he is an engineer by degree, he has an extremely low EQ. Overall, he is ok (not off the charts nice like other guys in...

I too am glad I have bouts with depression. It makes what others trifle about seem trivial and not as important as the all-out spiritual battle depression is by comparison!
Yes, we can bitch about inheriting this condition, but the past is done and it's what we DO with this energy that is important in the here and now. I like to pour all my emotions, good and bad, into physical exercise, and into my art form, making videos.
I suppose no matter what illness befalls someone they think it is the worst. Depression is so awful. Mind so busy regurgitating thoughts. Negativity pursists. Ugh fighting to be "happy". I just feel like most everything is futile. I see so little value in most anything short of helping others. Vanity of vanities most of it. Hard to enjoy life with such a grim outlook.
