I just joined yesterday. I suffer from dysthymia and schizoid personality disorder. Not exactly the best combination when you're down and no words or events can alter it except to bring you down further. I'll probably mainly vent and comment on other posts. You can comment on mine, but please don't be offended if any praise or encouragement falls on deaf ears.

I have been anxiously awaiting a depression group to be formed by my counseling center, but i have been waiting since last august. Still no news about a depression support group. I would still be waiting to this day if it weren't for Brittney Spears.
One day at work, I came across an article that discussed how she sought help and support anonymously through am online support group. I stored this information in the back of my head. Today, it came to the surface. I performed a google search for depresson support groups and came across an entire web-site dedicated to all sorts of support groups.
I already know that talking about my issues and writing about my issues is a huge help. The other part of it, however, is having a tentative audience to vent to.
