I just read a story in the local paper about a four month old baby that has died her in my town. Shaken baby syndrome.. An illegal imigrant. He said he woke up from a nap and the baby had turned blue. After checking the child out at Primary Childrens Hospital, they found that this poor defensless baby had severe brain damage and internal organ damage. consistent with shaken baby sybdrome and phsyical child abuse.. The injuries included a sore that appeared to be a burn several weeks old as well as fractured ribs and fingerprint bruising.
Where the fuck was this mother when this shit was going on and now what will they do with this monster? Deport him... I am so sick of hearing about the abuses that go on around us everyday..
When does it all stop? I am so sickened that their are so many people out there that take their rage and violence out on innocent children.. What can we do as a community to stop this violence?

*sigh* unfortunately for every one child that makes the papers there are hundreds more that suffer every day in silence.
There is not a lot that we can do except be there to help those children up again and help them to heal
And hope that something changes to get the punishment to be a lot worse

sorry, yes it should have had trigger. I was in so much pain, I didnt even think of it.. I am so sorry... Im just so fed up with these monsters that can take out there anger and sickness on poor defensless babies.. Im in tears..

I was abused by my father as a child. Kids are my life and I now work in a day care center. I have been there for 8 years. I try to hug the kids and tell them often I love them because you never know if they get hugs or hear I love you at home.

But a four month old baby? What could a four month old baby possibly do to make you kill them? Cry for hell sakes.. I am so sick that I cant even see straight.. And yes, sorry I didnt put up a trigger..

Beastie perhaps a vacation from newspaper reading is in order for a little bit? Not saying things like this should be shied away from but rather you are going through a lot right now and this kind of thing is adding needlessly to your load. hugs

This is really sad, I was abused by my father, he had put me in the hospital twice and did a lot of damage to me. This is one reason why I don't want to have children, I don't feel like they should have to go through this.

That is so horrible. What an awful way to start your day, mean. I think that continuing with parenting programs, targeting parents at the hospital level - when the baby is first born, helps some. I hate it when we try to target those who are "at most risk". What does that mean??? I think if we start doing that, we stigmatize and discourage people from participating in the services offered. Thanks for putting a spotlight on this kind of tragic loss, mean. Hugs to you........

By reading this or not reading this doesn't mean its not happending. Get some thicker skin. I'm sure we can all handle reading this on a computor screen.

Besides of many of us are gonna go watch the lastest war movie at the theater this weekend or play some violent video games.

Triggering or not, this is real life.

How do you watch the news in the evening or read a paper? Its not they have the word 'trigger' splashed all over it.

make every pregnant parent., male and female, take a few psych test. then force them to visit pdoc at least three times before and three times after giving birth. and that there should be a licensing process before anyone can keep a baby

oh this really upsets me...!!!! and i dont upset easily....but i mean really you have to have a liesence [sp] to fish for christ sakes but any idiot can have a baby and we are all suppose to trust that they will treat this child with love.!!!! i think that right at birth parents should have parenting classes and have social services check in now and then...i dont mean they should be there every week or anything it just that they should check in once a month and see how the baby is doing and how well the new parents are..... i know that staffing and travelling and all of that is an issue and i dont have the answers for that but we are talking about babies live here....someone should be looking out for those who have no voice.....

thankyou mean for bring this to our attention, we all know its going on but sometimes we need to be reminded and maybe we will help new parents in our social circles a little so that this doesnt happen to a child close to us....
