Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Share in a general way with bf that you feel sad or angry etc, let him SUCCESSFULLY comfort you even if he hasn't cos you have else where you can process your gunk then let him distract you with fun times.
I personally find therapists extremely hard to stick around!!! Nhs therapist HAVE TO see me for a time ... Lol x but the private ones, if they don't feel successful in cheering you up and that you might be going downhill in reaction to treatment they gone!!!
I've gone from two sessions to ten to about six months now with private therapists. So proud!!!
Someone said to me once that sometimes you have to fix the therapist before they fix you!!!
Why talk about upsetting stuff in therapy, try to make your therapist laugh and happy see if they make you laugh and happy repeat... See if a feeling of safety trust and love and care come. Once you have a bond then see if they will help you with upsetting stuff
But only do upset stuff for first fifteen mins of session then spend rest of session being cheered up and having fun
God I'm clueless... Why aren't there any professional therapists capable of being lovely and fixing you and stocking with people?
Incompetence probably
If your turning down options...
Then make yourself into something that dream person wants
How about hiding the box cutters (or send them over here...my teens don't seem to understand that it's possible to flatten a box for recycling), and giving your mom a hug.
No, it won't "solve" anything, but it might just feel good for a minute. And sometimes that's enough.
Big hugs, Patti
