Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Good!!! My therapist came to my apt last wednesday, I don't like the rooms at the agency and can't talk there. We were talking ( well of course lol) And he asked me what time I put my phone down at night. I said I don't. I fall asleep on it basically. He suggested to me that I put it and ALL electronics down a half hour before I go to bed. I can use the phone to call out in emergency of course. He wants to get me to two hrs. I told him yeah right. He said no try it seriously.
So I tried it Started Wednesday. Did it for the 30 min he suggested. I got a great night of sleep. I said next day probably just by chance. But I gave it another try. Again another great night of sleep. Then I did it for a hour........not on purpose. I was just coloring, ( those adult coloring books, they are fun!!) playing with my bird, dog, and cat ( not at the same time). And got even better quality of sleep. I've done it for a hour since.
How did it affect my day with depression and other things? It really helped!!! The depression is getting easier to manage, almost gone, I'm not counting on it lasting. I will hope it will, but, not gonna count on it. My anxiety is gone. my voices, aren't too bad.

I invited Bill to have dinner with me last Sunday. He wasn't willing to drive 7 hours to mid Michigan and teased me with his beautiful ribs!!! So, of course I ate alone and had cedar salmon

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

Anyway glad to hear you're getting away from it. Blue light stimulates. Reading a book is great. And I love those new colouring books for adults. :D
