As I grow older I become weaker and more lethargic. I lose interest in life and I find very little to be excited about. The more tired I become, the less i go to work. I'm overwhelmed with bills and I expect to become bankrupt some day. I fear becoming home less on the streets or even to end up in a housing project on food stamps living next door to Obama voters.
As I go through life, I have a fantasy about figuring it out and being able to solve my issues and to be content with life but that's not what I'm experiencing or what I've seen. I don't see a happy ending. I don't blame it on anyone. I don't feel entitled to anything. I don't expect or want anyone to come along and solve my problems.
There are some who love me but it always seems to be a co dependent relationship. The more they need from me the more they love me. I don't want to be dependent on anyone anymore.
It seems that the only real comfort I get is from alcohol. I hope that my life will end soon but I cannot kill myself. I don't believe I deserve Hell but I don't believe I deserve Heaven either. I just want to go back to wherever it was before I was born

Many of you know Mr K told me to "shut your mouth" in March 2025 when we took a road trip to Alpena Michigan. Since that time, we have had lots of ups and downs but I have never intentionally hurt Mr K in anyway. And when we first started dating in 2024 he let me know, although he is an engineer by degree, he has an extremely low EQ. Overall, he is ok (not off the charts nice like other guys in...

The more I'm on this group site, I realize it.
Have you sought counseling at all? Or spoken to a doctor?
You don't have to 'expect' to become bankrupt. If you decide to find just a few ways to make your life better - you can help yourself. Alcohol
is really bad for depression. Even if you drink half as much and save
that money, it would add up over the next year. Making a few positive, small changes - anything is better than ending up homeless.
Hope you're doing better soon.
Part of your issue is you are trying to predict the future. You don't see a happy ending, but you have no way of knowing that. These type of statements only serve to defeat ourselves. If we open ourselves to the idea that things can get better in time we are much less likely to give up.
There is a happy ending, but you have to be willing to make the positive steps necessary.
the company I work for may close and I am too ill to try to
get another job. I am sorry you are going through this.
I am not a professional I can only offer my experience and what I've learned.
You are able to see the difference between what you have and what you want and also what could eventually happen if you don't change the bad choices now.
Write down what would make you happy and also since you seem to already know, what it takes to get there.
Start with little bitty bites and start getting there by making better choices. Start small and give yourself credit when you do something positive and reward yourself along the way.
What are your issues that you mention ??
Seems you know them so fix them or get them fixed or just start to
make them better.
Action in a positive direction will get you there.
You know the people to avoid and do so with boundaries.
Have you read Dr. Phils new book "Life Code" about the different "baiters" in life. The people who suck us dry.
I do wish you luck, you sound a littel depressed but I was there recently and found that action and movement and getting involved will quickly change it as we can't focus so much on the negative and if we make the right choices it can only be toward the positive.
good good luck,
Hope you have some sobriety behind you or can start now. A clear mind will only help you. It isn't too late, ever. My self medication is food. I see no way of overcoming it unless they come up with a pill that has all your nutrients in it. I can go w/o eating, I just have trouble stopping once I start I'm 58, never been married and. am still trying to lose weight. We are talking over 100 pounds. IT'S NOT TO LATE, you just need to take that first step and then hang on to everyone to help you through it.
This is a great support site. Make use of it. My brother almost qualified for a Obama program (know you don't like him, but if the prgm helps you keep your house why not use it?),, At least call your bank and see if they have any doable options. Maybe you will get surprised and they will work something out.
My heart is with you. I so hope things will work out for you. Like said above, start with baby steps, but start! Much love and many, many warm hugs for you.
