Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
As someone who fights similar mental health disorders as your husband (although no attempts at suicide) and been through patient therapies, I can tell you this: you are NOT responsible for his actions, or his mental health status. You must put your own well-being first and your children's second - yes, in that order. You are under such a terrible burden that you MUST have a support network for yourself. If you're not currently seeing a therapist, find one! If you're not attending a local support group, find one!
I'm not being dismissive of your situation in the least, but you have to do whatever is best for you and your children and you are not responsible for your husbands decisions. BTW, the best way to support your husband is to put yourself as the priority, not him. TR
