I need closure!!!

I'm 16 and am depressed. I'm not sure about my sexuality and the guilt and suppression of my feelings has caused me to be very lonely and to lose all my friends. I don't talk to family and am very closed off because they have made it very clear that gays don't belong in this family. I am highly attracted to guys but would like to date girls to please my family and to see if I am really gay. I'm conflicted and scared because I feel completely alone. I'm suffocating in my feelings and thoughts

You're a precious human being. And quite frankly whether male or female. Whether you're somewhere in between. For you personally these things matter. A lot. Because they matter to you. They can and by choice they do matter to me too. Depression will try to show you negative things about your life. Yes things are there. But you can still feel. I hope you see how encouraging and hopeful it can be. There's a place for some. When they're so grievously afflicted by depression. They stop feeling things. I know because I've been there. So please,please and PLEASE ?!?!?! Keep feeling things. And take it a step further. Find or get help finding folks that have the gentle compassion in their souls. I'm not the only one. I feel pain and hope for you. I care. And I hope these facts can have a positive impact on you. I will not down play your pain. I will accept your feelings. Keep posting here please. Keep showing the soft sweet compassionate side. You deserve as much love and respect as anyone else. I support you and your choices for being well. If any of this helps. Then I pray it does so as effectively as it can for you. Yes I said I care for and respect you. You being a human being is the only common ground I need to be able to do that. Gigantic Hugs to you.

I am sorry for the pain and loneliness you are feeling. No matter what you decide, you are a worthy of being a happy person. You might want to consider talking to your parents about getting you a counselor or therapist for you to talk to. They can give you direction and support that you are not getting at home. It's important for you to have someone you can trust to talk to.

Thank you everyone who responded. Yes the pain hurts and it shows and I let it run in routine. I know that this is not where I want to be. It's going to take time to feel again. To find people that can help me be worthy of living. Thanks for the love and care. I need it now more than ever.

Well as a parent, you want your child to be careful about relationships either way. I have a friend whose son came out and while they are straight-laced pro Trump, American flag typed people, both still love their son. In any case, parents can suggest or offer advice but its your call, and you don't live your life just to make them happy. My parents were not initially happy with my choice of fiancé but they had to live with it, and think she is wonderful.
