Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

We just heard a story. A woman in her 50's was somewhat lonely and posted something in a town welcoming anyone similarly lonely to a happy hour at a local restaurant (dating was not the idea, friendship was). Sure enough, a number of people came, singles, other woman, couples, and now a group in the town hangs out together, due to this lady's creativity.
I am sure this all seems pretty imposing, but consider looking at small steps to try to improve your life. Perhaps you can be inspired by some of the things marines do and think, and work hard to improve your life and get the things you want.
Now I feel so lonely since I'm living in a personal care home. I lost my apartment, all my possessions, and my car, and my pet cat passed away. It feels like I have nothing left. I have no family. I have no life and I don't know how to make one. I'm only 63 years old and I'm not living close to my hometown where I'd like to be. I can't afford to move. I feel like a therapy group would help me but there aren't any here. I really need all the support I can get. My hometown had many support groups but this area has hardly any. I feel so alone.
