What kind of Christmas will your kids have if you hang yourself? It's brutally hard for you right now but you have got to move on.

Carolin brings up a very good point. If you are going to hang yourself, why not pick a less damaging day to your children, if you do indeed love them. Perhaps go buy them a gift and plan to drop it at their door on Christmas, instead. So they can be suprized and reminded of how you care.

That being said, hanging yourself at anytime is a bad idea. The holidays are tough, but in one day, Christmas will be over, then a week later, New Years is over. That's it. Suck it up for ONE week. Meanwhile make an appt with a therapist. They will make time for you right away, if you are open with how bad you are feeling.

Please don't do this. I cannnot imagine what you are going through but please do not end it. Please see that there is light in this life - there is a light at the end of this tunnel you are in. Ending it is not the answer. It will break your children's hearts. They deserve to have you watch them grow up. They need you - even if you can't be with them right now they need you and they love you. Let them be your hope. Be angry. Be sad. But do not give up hope. Do not give up on your children. Do not give up on your life. It is never too late to start again. To see that light and to pick yourself up and march towards it. You are loved. You are appreciated. Even if you don't feel it right now, you are. Don't let your fear of a miserable life keep you from creating a wonderful life. Don't keep yourself down. Please, stay here. You can get through this. Talk to someone - there is always someone willing to listen.

Don't do this to your kids. They need you. Please get some help. If you're willing to work at it you can and will get better. And like someone else said, in a week it will be over so meanwhile do drop off some gifts to your kids to let them know you really do care.

It takes way longer than a year to get over someone. I'd say 2 - 3 years. if you expect to be over her by now you're dreaming.

So pull up your big boy panties and see if mum or dad are around for Christmas. Unless you actually think you're a bad enough person to need to be permanently removed from your children's lives, don't do this.

Just understand: you're hoping if you kill yourself your kids will blame mum. That won't happen. Mum will have free rein to tell the story of who you were without anyone to challenge her view. And she'll say you were a nutcase, and here's the proof. You killed yourself.

Killing yourself is not a good form of revenge. It's actually pretty suck.
