Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

Good luck, remember you ARE worth being loved, the right way.
That's not a failure.
"I want so badly to study and have goals....."
That's not a failure.
"I am so tired of supporting him...."
Again, not a failure.
But, sometimes it helps to list actions that make your goals happen. Lists like this can be made/revised often as you move towards your goal. They can be lists of little goals or large goals. The lists can consist of little actions are big actions. Then, you just follow the list in chronological order. Each action leads to another. Concentrate on that list, the actions, and let go of the emotions for awhile.
This man is not your responsibility, and it is delusional (for lack of a better word) for him to think he is. It sounds like you are having a hard time just taking care of yourself. If you can't take care of you, than you can't take care of him. He really needs to do that for himself. Emotionally? Well, maybe you need the companionship. But, if it is hindering on the rest of your life or WELLBEING, than you really need to take care of those emotions in other ways. That is difficult, I know.
Make those lists of what you need to do to get on your feet. If you have a hard time doing that, maybe a counselor can help you.
Don't give up. You have the will to try and succeed. You just need practice and you'll get there.
Never heard from her again. I simply refused to stay in that relationship that was damaging to my well-being. You need to decide what is right for your well-being since he seems to be damaging yours. IMO, it doesn't matter what happens to him. I was able to walk out on someone and not give a damn what happened to them. Not sure if your are at that point though. Best of luck to you.
