Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Be sure to check out my DS NEWCOMERS thread ... and you will soon feel right at home here.
Then watch how she reacts. She may be able to deal with it, she may not. Even if she is not able to deal with it very well, she may still be a good source of support. Just be careful with how hard you lean on her.
And remember to listen to her, and let her lean on you when she needs it. Even if she says her needs are so light she does not want to burden you, tell her that you are there for her!

Gentle hugs

I know you'll make friends here easily. I know what it's like to feel cut-off from people. This place, even with its flaws, has been really helpful to me many a time. It got me connected, and confident about trying again with the "outside" world.
Hugs, hon.
