Picking up some cheap, plain coffee filters, pipe cleaners, and a big box of crayons.... and making some flowers. That's what I did for 5 hours yesterday. I made 52 artificial flowers for only... lets see

1.97 for pipe cleaners
3.00 for the coffee filters
and I already had the crayons...

SO about $5 and you can have a garden all your own!!! Color them any colors you like, make as many as you want. ITs really fun, and takes your mind off of things. Sooooo try it out, see if you like it, and If you do... we'll make them together!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i use toilet paper instead of coffee filters....lots and lots of it...so they end up looking exactly like carnations! :D

and when they're finished, i brush red lipstick over the top.

and i use green garden tape to cover the wire/pipe cleaners

Im going to be using them as wedding flowers... in my own wedding!!! Talk about creative, cheap, easy, fun, and worth it!!! Why spend all that money for flowers that are just going to die on you? When you can make filter flowers and never worry about watering them, planting them, making sure they have sunlight, and best of all... YOU choose their colors. WOw, I sound like a salesman don't I ? WEll, You get the idea. Have fun making them.
