I've seen your posts too. I've spent most of my life hoping that would happen. But finally after years, I finally have hope for a better life. I spent weeks if not months crying everyday. I didn't think I could take it anymore. I finally got on the right medication and got a good therapist. Like Canaan said, now I'm trying to "force a little change in attitude" and it is helping.
I hate that you are going through this. I hope you find something or someone that can help.. Please keep posting. Gentle hugs for you.

Although I love the science of structures I am not particularly a fan of the drugs that we take as the drugs companies bias there results by sponsoring the drug trials themselves

I know drugs can be of great benefit but I do believe they are often overprescribed for profit rather than medical need

no need to apologize...i actually agree with you...its just that i used to enjoy learning about anything STeM related...not so much now...i am so done with this life that i just want it all to end...i checked out ofchurch...school...and life in general...dont really care about anything or anyone...i am just done

You may want to try going back to church. That could be helpful. Most churches have prayer chains. I could request them to pray for you.

A good psych doc, good meds, good therapist, changing your thinking....these can all go a long way in making you better.

Depressed we are all in this big depressed boat together. We are all here to help each other, HUGS!!! I know life can be a hugh pain in the backside. Hope you can find a med that gives you some relief, a good therapist helps too or atleast one person fo talk to.

I will second everything blueyonde said. Many times I have felt the way you do,,but, you can combat this,,it will be very hard,,I struggle every day. One day at a time though,,try to look at the tiniest of positives in your life if you can,,,very small thoughts can expand.

I tried this weekend. Obviously, it didn't work. Evidently a bottle of pills and a half a bottle of Whiskey isn't enough. All I did was aggravate my hernia and give myself a stomach ache.

Am I feeling better today? I guess. Am I glad I didn't succeed? Not really. Do I regret trying? No. Mostly, I'm disappointed. Because it took a lot for me to work up the courage to try. I don't know if I can work up the courage again.

So right now at this moment, I don't see it being in my future. God isn't through "coitusing" with me, yet.

I understand how you feel. I take Wellbutrin with several other meds and it doesn't make me want to live. Life is so painful, I wish I had the guts to kill myself. Just wanted you to know someone knows how you feel.

No, it's not brave. It's just .....nothing. it's nothing. Doubtful I will ever try it again. i have no plans for a follow up.
