Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
That means a good discussion with your doctor. Pretty much just what you have posted.
>>grief over losing 3 loved ones since February
(The right) meds can 'help' with that, but usually, it takes time. More time than 6 months.
>> and also debilitating back pain that the doctors can't figure out.
That would certainly steal your steam. Does it seem to you they are trying hard enough??
>>My anxiety is due to lots of things happening in my life that I have no control over. I don't fee like I'm in charge of my life and that is driving me crazy.
Yeah .. that feeling is maddening.
>> It's mostly ex spouses causing those issues.
I thought EX meant 'no longer'. Would need more details to comment.
I think some more discussion and action on your doctors' side would help .... and a sense of endurance ... time will resolve a lot of this.
Just my opinion.
As for the back pain. My back doctor believes it's synovi cysts causing the pain and the surgeon says that they aren't encro on the nerve branches enough to be causing it. After many tests, the cysts are the only thing they find wrong in my back. I don't unde how they can't be the problem.
Ex issues...fighting with my ex for 5 years to get the money he owed me in the divorce settlement. My new husbands ex is a monster and keeps his kids from him, tells them lies, takes us to court all the time (out of state and an 11 hour round trip for us) and takes the kids to the emergency room every time they sneeze wrong, which is killing us financially. Last year, we met our $6000 deductible in March all because of her constant trips to the ER with the kids.
