...life is not difficult.
I do not know if I can keep this short. My son of 31 of age this December 15th, which is his moms birthday and mine, is living with me now. I did not know if my two sons were alive or not most of their lives. His moms side of the family are a long line of extremely mentally, emotionally, and socially evilly ill persons. My son with me now is the youngest. He came to me from jail out West and years of addiction to "speed", to here in the East, US. He was about 24 of age then. Dang, six years later, about $30,000 in his rent, jails, courts, probation fees, etc, and stress that you might find hard to believe the damage it does me because of an extremely rare medical condition that I have, he has grown enough to see outside of himself and sense others needs. He and his women friend that they just parted living together because of not knowing how to do a comfortable relationship, both need counseling if they are going to get back together.
Acceptance of another as she or he is, is a major part of doing a comfortable relationship. He is a cook at a restaurant. I go behind him for things like washing dishes, etc because he has a tough time of following through with chores. I am very slowly and diplomatically, one step at a time letting him know of my needs and his own needs that he might not be aware of. He was badly and not so badly now had no clue to boundaries of himself or others.
I have been a content loner for about 25 years or so. I so appreciate my own space. However, as I get older I so appreciate what company means also. In addition, with my medical condition that compounds my mental condition, I need help around the house and to get to doctor appointments. Because of the most rarity of my medical condition I have been badly mistreated by the medical arena due to stupid type of ignorance, prejudice, mentally ill nurses and other medical staff who do not know they have serious issue needing healing and treatment. Thus, it is nice to have someone to be supportive and get me out the door to go to somewhere that there is a good chance my feelings are going be badly hurt.
My med psyches clinic staff are the worst offenders. They think it is my fault when I miss appointments, when it is not a matter of blame and is just a serious medical condition that they have no clue how badly it affects my life.
I suddenly came off of two very addictive meds with the usual bad withdrawal symptoms. One of these meds was Ativan, which when I finally got to see my doc, she put me on an Ativan recovery treatment. Because of the above description of my psycs office staff's bias towards me they failed to call in a Ativan prescription that my psyc assured me they would do late yesterday, Friday afternoon. I have withdrawl syptoms again and over the weekend. That was so nice of them, hun?
As it is, I have a very bad sleep disorder and bad sleep deprivation. Ativan can cause fatigue, just like the addictive pain meds that I have stopped taking the hard way as said above. Therefore, the mean acting staff might have done me a favor. This morning, I am up, here on the computer & the Internet with all of you for a happy change. I am still feeling tired but I am up! I have chronic dry eyes also, which makes me feel tired also. If I manage to so often use eye moisturizer, they are not so bad. I am going to have the prescription called into my local pharmacy. I will be just keeping the med in the cupboard and take it when the med is badly needed.
Well, thanks for listening to such a long post. I am off to moisten my eyes, cook my own first meal of the day, and do life the best I can.
Life is not for me to understand; life is just for me to live.
Luv,
RICHARD

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
I'm sorry you haven't been feeling so well.
HUGS
My son went in the hospital for major surgery on his foot thank he ingnored to take care of a few years ago. I shared with him the importance of doing so and how to find treatment for it. But, the provervial saying, "One can lead a horse to water but cannot make him drink the water." Now, I will be taking care of him more than me.
He is a fighter for life though. I will not have be pushy to encourage him to get up and move around some to keep the blood going etc. II would not be pushy anyway.
Oh, Maybe it is just a honey moon thing kinda sorta, but he / we are able to much better get along than many years ago when he first came out here to live. Then there was not any happy beginnings, for sure.
A hug and some luv,
RICHARD
