i can't stand myself. I hate my face and my voice. I can't stand how annoying I must be. I feel like I'm bothering people just from being around. I think I'm disgusted. I'm ugly and fat. I dong understand why anyone would even look my way. I hate the quote "you have to love yourself before anyone else can love you" what a stupid fuckkng quote ! There isn't anyone I can't stand as much as myself and it really sucks because I would kill to be in love with myself. I hate everything about who I am. This doesn't feel right. I hate hearing about how I'm worth this and that by people just trying to make me feel better. I hate them telling me I have a beautiful personality. I've told people these things and not meant them. These are just things you say to people. I don't want pity. I just hate myself and its not normal.

It's been some time since my last post...sorry. I've been going through a challenging time with the sale of my home, purchase of a condo and my adult asperger son that lives with me. I've had days where I couldn't get out of bed, days where I stayed in my pj's and days where all I managed to do was eat, drink fluids and take care of my Sweet Mia kitty. Sweet Mia came to me from a shelter about...

If I come to DS and it won't do anything when I click "Login", I go to a post, click and then click "Leave a Reply". Then it will let me log in.Of course, sometimes DS just goes to "Error 504". Then I can't log in.

Many years ago I was EXACTLY where you are. I was very self-critical, very hard on myself and I had good reason - ugly, fat, stupid, the list went on and on. And all around me ppl were saying, you're beautiful, smart, fun.
I was very critical of the world around me.
This was necessary though, it woke me up to trying to properly define and refine my values that were not clear to me at the time, just living in some un-articulated, hazy world beneath the surface that was wreaking havoc n my mind and body.
So, I can share some advice:
- google list of values, there will be many and allow your mind to go with what resonates. Don't think too much about it. Just write down the values that resonate.
And then reflect.
Reflect on why those values are important to you.
Personally and for the broader societal implication.
You value beauty, for example,
Why is beauty important to you??
Attract a better mate, access to better jobs, more friends, just go with the flow, just write, just release the thoughts from your system.
And that will give them space to evolve and be defined and refined more clearly.
You are an evolving being, really you area there is no constant in life other then change.
I reflected that this is my life and not anyone else and if i'm going to hate everything about myself for the rest of my life, it will be such a waste. I practice self love from then on. One thing to love about myself, one day at a time. It has brought me thus far.
I don't know what might have happened in your life that made you hate yourself so much, but hating takes effort and it's rather tiring if you agree with me. The opposite is also true. A person who hates, loves as intensively as well. I hope through sharing in this forum will help increase your self-loving capablity. Be well and live loved. God Bless!
