True story....
I went to the doctor with someone, and he said to the doctor..."I get sore after I use this arm too much. What should I do for the pain?" The doctor said, "Use that arm more....Eventually, it won't get sore anymore."
I think the sluggishness you feel is physiologic. I feel this too, at times. But, it usually follows a long period of sleeping a lot and not getting any exercise, eating crap because I don't care...etc.......This alone will depress you.
Don't get me wrong, I do understand the way hopelessness can make you feel sluggish. I have the same experiences. But, I treat it by being hopeless and active at the same time. Eventually, it improves my mood and gets my mind off my hopelessness.
