Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

Sorry your family has fallen apart, that is never easy to go through. Perhaps you might forget about the family drama for a bit, think of something your Great Grandma loved to do, maybe gardening, or cooking and do some in her honor. Plant some flowers in pots in her honor, fix some meals to donate to a local soup kitchen or voluntee to help out. Many times when life is hard for us, helping others or doing things that someone we loved used to do helps bring us joy and peace.
Take care,
kat
Upon further reflection, I suspect that the drug use may have always been there (to some degree) but it was hidden out of some sort of respect for your great grandmother.
Maintain contact with the relatives that you admire, but don't let others drag you down. You can do that by limiting contact, and by putting emotional distance between you and those who drag you down.
I am sorry that you are having to deal with this.
Gentle hugs
