Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I'll try to be short. I don't know what I'm doing with my life. I wake up every morning not wanting to do a thing. I keep thinking, "I don't want to do this anymore. I don't want to live anymore. I don't want to wake up anymore." Sometimes, I try to ignore it and it works. Other times, it doesn't work and I would sleep through the morning until around 3:00 PM. Today, I woke up feeling like I want to die, again. This time, I missed my college class I was supposed to attend today. I slept through the day again. This kind of thing happened before throughout this semester. I only have two classes this semester and I can't get anything right. So, I felt worse and I went back to sleep. I'm lazy, I'm a failure, and I feel like killing myself everyday. I eventually get out of bed because my mother comes back to house after her job around the afternoon. She would nag me to get out of bed if she found me still lying in bed. I try to ignore these thoughts throughout the days. There's always a thought in the back of my head. Ultimately, I still want to kill myself. Thank you for reading this.

Hope the dog days of summer aren't getting you down!

It doesn’t have to be a relationship or family
It could be a pet or a plant
Or a neighbor whose trash you take out
For me it’s a 16 year old deaf blue heeler named “poppy”
I honestly live for that dog to make here last years as happy as possible
But it can be as simple as a Walmart aloe plant named “Herbert”
I can’t go because poppy needs me
Try to find a mission of sorts and I think it could help
@robotnik I don't think another brain is going to help lol. I'm not entirely sure brain transplants work xD Thanks
@canadman815 I have positive people in my life. They're my church members, neighbors, my family, my psychiatrist, and my counselor. I don't have any friends in real life. I feel okay with what I'm studying, but I honestly lost a passion for it and everything else. Yet, I decided to sleep more properly and start eating and drinking healthy. I used to drink a lot of soda and less water. I'll also try to start exercising. Thank you
Good move: eating, drinking and sleeping properly : ) You can treat yourself to a soda every now and again. Good that you're surrounded by such a support network...good communication is important. Sorry to hear you don't have any friends in real life; hopefully one will come along sometime.
