Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

It has been four months since my lied to me,cheated on me and we broke off.
This incident almost killed me and I went into depression.I had given my resignation from a job for which I worked so much so that I don't have to face her and my pain could reduce to some extent.
Somehow one of my colleagues told me that it is not a wise decision. You should not quit your job as you would be screwing with your career.
So I took back my resignation.
For 2 weeks after that incident I could'nt believe that this has actually happened and she was not even guilty of what she did.
Here I was dying every second and she was leading her normal life as if nothing has happened.
At that time I thought that why should I quit, why should I go when I have not done anything wrong.
I thought she is the one who did all that to me so she would be the one to pay for it.
I though God would set things right and I would be happy again.
But here I am 4 months after and I have no one.People who were with me drifted away for no reason. Some of them behave as if I don't even exist.
When I sit and think I am not able to understand the reason of this behavior. When I did'nt do anything to hurt anyone then why would they move away.
After all that trauma this was something that has shattered me completely.
When I look at my ex ,her life is absolutely fine. She has so many friends in office and people keeping coming into her life.
I try to make friends,I try to communicate,to help but all in vain.
When I think that she was the one to have all that to me then why is my life hell. Why am I so alone? Why do I have to go through all this suffering?
Why is God doing this to me?
I really feel like a loser and a person who cannot be loved...

Many of you know Mr K told me to "shut your mouth" in March 2025 when we took a road trip to Alpena Michigan. Since that time, we have had lots of ups and downs but I have never intentionally hurt Mr K in anyway. And when we first started dating in 2024 he let me know, although he is an engineer by degree, he has an extremely low EQ. Overall, he is ok (not off the charts nice like other guys in...

hate to see you suffer- i have suffered too
just try to stay positive- at least for a few minutes in the day.

Now some people just don't feel up to it so loneliness grows off of them like a cancer. Trust me I've been there, probably still am but slowly getting myself out of the shadows of depression. At times we can't help it though especially when we are let down by those who we care about. Life certainly isn't fair but it makes sense to a certain degree. People who attract others aren't always the best of people but since they have people around them so often, it would only make sense that they have more competition of who they should spend there time with. In real life, God doesn't choose that the bad suffer & the good triumph. It's really what you work for is what you get. Everything is usually relative.
There's my "words of wisdom" about life. Now here's my advice; if this keeps going on for lets say two more months since it's been already four months, you should see a counselor maybe once every two weeks (start off light). Just talk to somebody about how you're feeling if the feelings intensify. It's really no big deal but if things are troubling you & you feel powerless to control things & are harboring such negative thoughts about the way life turned out just talk to someone about it, you've got nothing to lose. Try to call up friends to hang out, maybe you're the one who's got to put in the effort to getting your friends back & maybe even your mood lately as been a factor for why you've been feeling so isolated. Just try to be strong, plan goals & activities for yourself & actually follow through with them. You need to keep yourself motivated & mentally healthy.
I know it is frustrating to see your ex is doing well, but forget how she is doing. Just because she seems fine on the outside doesn't mean she is fine on the inside. You can't judge people by outwards appearances. Eventually, she will be made to answer for what she has done somehow.
What you need to do is focus on you and living your life. Don't let her continue to hold power over your life.
I think it's easy for us to sit around waiting for good things to happen, but the reality is we have to get out there and make good things happen. It's not fair to blame God when we aren't using the gifts he gave us. You can't sit around expecting God to hand you everything on a silver platter. You were capable of finding love at least once. You are capable of finding it again.
Try to focus on doing things positive for yourself. Find a new hobby, take a new class, join a new group, etc. The more positive you feel about your life the easier it will be for you to attract people.
