Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I am Bob, 64, depressive since age 13, and in remission for about three years.

Be at Peace; unless you have other plans.
@Ariel I've used the writing tactic once already. Not to explain what was going on, but to let my partner know I was working up to being able to talk. She was very grateful that I took the time to write it out for her. But I feel I need to talk to them.
@Muskrat I intend to discuss this with my counselor when I see her next. We've had it floating in the air for a year now.
@koolman My friends have helped me through my diagnosis. They're the only reason I'm still here. If not for them, I would have given up months ago. They expressed the want to know what was going on at the very beginning, but insisted I wait until was ready to talk.
Peace be upon you, unless you think the burden is too great!!!
