Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I feel that we've all convinced ourselves that it's important to be noticed and popular. Though this is not the truth. Truth be told, none of us are ever any further than the other person is in life. And we often fool ourselves into thinking that all is quite well with another person's life more so than our own. Not true. Take a deep breath and celebrate your own oneness. You are unique for a reason. And perhaps it is time for others to notice that your way of life just might be the safest way after all.
I don't fall in to place easily myself, and oftentimes I'm alone. Consequently, I don't have to live by other people's personal rules; I'm not uncomfortable with being idle if I want to; I enjoy my quiet time, and I keep up with my own schedule. My health is better!
I'm not implying that not finding friends and developing new relationships are not an important part of living. I'm just making a point that it is not important that others notice you. Life has a way of getting in your face no matter the path of life. People see you. And you don't miss today by not feeling present to it. Just stay aware of the treasure you are for being who you are right now. It's a gift to know you can value yourself enough to live outside of the stream of life.
Best of hugs today!
