Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I can't imagine the pain you must feel at the loss of your son.
I don't live in the U.S. but is there not some way you can get some kind of help? I know some talk on here of help for people in need.
Do you have an medications to help you cope? Are you able to get into some type of therapy?
I wish we could be rid of all this sadness and depression.
In the US, you can go to any hospital. Tell them you are having thoughts of hurting yourself. Lack of money is not an issue, and you will get help.
I am on Paxil, Ativan, Lamictal, Trazadone.
In IL I was in therapy and groups, but here in GA no one will see me with my insurance except the one worthless doctor I have.
How about local support groups? You could at least talk about things with real people. I would say talk it out with a friend, but if you are new to GA then I am guessing you may be limited in the "confidante" area. If that's the case, I am right there with you. I think talking in person helps.
