I don't even know why I try sometimes. Recently me and my girlfriend moved into our first apartment together. I am on disability currently. I am on SSI and I do contribute financially. She has a job. Between my SSI and my food stamps I contribute around $1,000 a month. She makes between $700- $800 a month. She acts like I do not contribute at all. She says to me "I understand your issues and I do not expect you to work right, but in the future I'd like you too." I am trying to get better so I can work in the future. But she keeps bringing up that I don't work and she does. So I get confused because she says don't look for work I understand your issues. Then days later she says I have to start looking. I don''t know what to do when this happens. I learned to cook to help her out so she doesn't have to do all the cooking. I am beginning to think that she wanted me to learn to cook so I could do all the cooking. Here is what I do. I clean the cat litter, feed the cats, take garbage down, clean, cook. I think I do my fair share around the apartment. You would think that I do nothing and the apartment is messy, dishes over running, litter smelling up apartment, garbage not taken down, cats starving, but that's not the case. I try my best and it doesn't seem to be good enough. She yells at me. My therapists told me that I have low impulse control when I get yelled at. I told my girlfriend this you would think that she would stop yelling at me over stupid shit but that's not the case. I feel overwhelmed when she tells me to clean the whole apartment, hang up all the clothes, match socks, cook all the meals and clean those dishes. When we first moved in we made an agreement that I would do dishes when she works and she would do the dishes when she is off, Well that never happened. She uses the fact that she works she doesn't have to do anything when she is off. Am I wrong to think that on her off days she could do stuff around the apartment and help me out with stuff so I don''t get overwhelmed. I thought that one person cooked and the other did the dishes. I also have asshole neighbors. I bring this up because when they do something bad or stupid. I seem to get yelled at for them doing the stupid thing. I know what I am getting yelled at for, she knows what she 's yelling at me for. But she doesn't admit that she is mad that at the neighbors. What do you do If you are getting yelled at for someone else being an asshole. If you do something you just have to do it and it should be over. But what do you do if you can't fix the problem. I don't know what to do. Please people I need help I am really depressed.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
How you both begin to make that happen is up to you. It may be that with a lack of understanding and/ or no willingness to truly listen to one another... that there isn't an amicable solution to be found. Separation may be the only true resolve. Only you two can answer that, as no one else sincerely knows what kind of foundation exists in that relationship.
Not everyone is "meant" to be with the person that they are with. I have no idea if that is the case with your relationship, but I do know that you must communicate and that there is a lot of "give and take" involved with that.
You both may be somewhat scared to truly address the underlying issues, as it can be very often times quite emotionally painful... but things will certainly only worsen until you both have a willingness to genuinely identify with the real issues.
Best of luck to you both.
Just a thought.
Suggest you both try to make some "couple" time for yourselves. And, work on communication.
Sounds like you are making an extra effort to make her home life easier; but as a result, yours is miserable. She may just be using you as her means of letting off steam and as a verbal "punching bag". Suggest you stand up for yourself and not be that punching bag.
Best Wishes.
