Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
For me, it was a whole bunch of circumstances adding up to one big nightmare, that finally got me to go see a doctor, once and for all.
Your sadness at seeing your beloved older relatives start to decline is heartening. It means you are not made of stone. It would hurt anyone with any feelings at all to see this happen.
When ordinary life events become profoundly difficult, and overwhelming, it's time to get yourself to a doctor. Like World said, a sleep aid might help, and step-by-step, you can get large parts of normal function back.....if you work hard at it, and take it one day at a time.
You've got to take care of yourself before you can be a real help to the others who need you.
(((hug))) for you
If you really feel overwhelmed, make a list. They aren't just for
females. They help you get organized, figure out what's most important, plus, you get to mark things off as you move down the list.
I don't think there's an easier way to get in serious trouble, mentally, than to not sleep at least 6 or 7 hours a night. It's not optional. People who brag that they're fine on a few hours of sleep a night - most of them are wrong.
I'm sure your grandmother and aunt think you're the greatest.
If they are in physical pain, make sure someone gets them in
to see the doctor.
What you've learned in school, in life, is never for nothing.
Being 19 and haven't yet had a job - not a big deal. You may roll your eyes, because this saying is trite, but totally true -- you have your whole life ahead of you!
