Religiously I know my life has a point, but emotionally I can't feel it. I feel like we're just rats in a maze. If I don't want to get up, why should I have to? If I don't want to go to work, so what? If I can't listen in school, oh well. People just made up a bunch of rules to follow, but if my life is basically as good as it gets and I still wish I didn't have it, what does that say about me? I'm trying not to be ungrateful but it's really hard...

Hi, you are a special person who is unique in the world, who has your own intellect and conscience, and who follow your own path in life. We are not rats in a maze because we have our own intellect and conscience to determine our own lives. Why are you feeling this way? Are you bored because you are locked in your house and doing online courses? If the world has no rules, anarchy will ensue. Your life is not basically as good as it gets because at 16 years old, your life has not begun. Life is precious and each one of us should be grateful that our parents have given us an existence. It is extremely disrespectful to your parents and to God if you take the gift of life for granted. When I was 16 yrs old, I study hard so that I would have an opportunity to have a better future. Think of all the children who do not have an opportunity to study, that education is a privilege few can afford. Be grateful with what you have, concentrate on your study, bide your time and when you have grown up, your time will come. Happy Easter.

" I'm trying not to be ungrateful but it's really hard..." Not that I can really know, but it sounds like you have at least learned some decent things. I am now 70 and am learning NOW in my life to find gratitude; I am in a daily gratitude group, besides going to AA four times a week. It is all a bit odd doing Zoom. We might indeed be rats in a maze...I prefer gerbils...they are so much cuter...but that does not mean that there is not a lifetime ahead for you of some good, meaningful-to-you work and some good, meaningful-to-you love. Happy Easter AudgePodge...life offers us a DAILY chance at resurrection. By the way, I love your screen name.

Your point of existence? How about the fact that your young and you've got your whole life to live. Don't take life for granted. Love what you got and figure out how're your going to get what you want. There's a lot of pitfalls in life, but being happy is one of the most important ways to live your life. Your getting me worked up here!

I am 48 I am still learning how to enjoy life. Schools does not teaches that. Parent does not teaches that. We do things acorring to our society tell us to do. The rich people are rebells. They do not do well in traditional schools. School is work. Besides school. Find something you enjoy doing. Keep learning about that. That can be your future business. Find a mentor. There are mentors for youths.

I got an email from Kohl's that I had a 40% off coupon for today and tomorrow only. It took me about an hour but I placed an order and got some great deals. I have been wanting a new dress. I like dressing up sometimes. My birthday is coming up and I have dinner plans at a nice restaurant. But, honestly, I'm a little out of control again. I went through this in the fall. I bought...

Has anyone else noticed that clearly speaking and doing things intentionally is liberating because it helps combat the feeling of depression and a sense of hopelessness? Let me share a little more: in my experience, when those who have tried to project a hidden agenda that is obviously not aligned with integrity and well-being, it's best to be firm and speak clearly from self-awareness and...
