I can't take care of myself - how am I supposed to take care of someone else....
I was thinking the other day, Doctors TREAT people, Nurses TAKE CARE of people...I want to be a doctor....my mom was a nurse all her life...and I do mean ALL HER LIFE - her mom died right before she turned 11 - she took care of her...then she took care of her sister....then when she died, she took care of her father and her brothers...then she went to school and got her nurses license and worked in world renowned hospitals until I came into the picture...then she quit working and took care of me cause I was a sickly child....
I don't know how she did it!....I really don't ....I don't even want to take care of myself right now...I've said before, how I am a terrible patient...and I am...
I just slept all day yesterday and today....I have things in addition to my mom that I need to take care of but I just can't muster up the energy to do it....
I don't want to do anything!!!!
I don't want to see anyone....
I JUST WANT TO SLEEP and forget about everything and everyone
THIS SUCKS!
has anyone ever gotten back to normal after being diagnosed with depression/anxiety - this is so not me!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And when we first started dating in 2024 he let me know, although he is an engineer by degree, he has an extremely low EQ. Overall, he is ok (not off the charts nice like other guys in...

Zack Greinke, a talented pitcher in baseball, missed most of a season with depression and anxiety. He overcame it and went on to have the best years of his career. So yes, it is possible to overcome and lead a normal, successful life.
The hardest thing is thinking there is no hope and that your current state is permanent.
One day, you will feel some of the depression melt away. Then a little more. It won't be a silver bullet, but you'll start to realize the pain isn't so intense.
If you have access to medical care, please try to get help. Various treatments can reduce the intensity.
From experience, I know if is VERY difficult. I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. Please realize others care about you.
God bless you.
One thing for certain is that it varies.
Today is a bad one for me.
