I broke or craked under pressure I cut on my arm 27 times and 100 times on my left leg I did it cuz I feel like I'm not good enough or fat cuz I'm trying out for the cheer team and I feel like they won't wanna be cuz my size cuz I'm fat and I don't look like everyone else plus I don't have the skills they have so I'm probably not gonna make it but I'm still gonna try cuz I love cheer and I don't want to quit because it's my last year

Hi. I’ve been in a similar place. Let me share with you what had happened to me and how I also broke. At my old job there were bullies, could you imagine, even at work? Well one day I couldn’t take it any longer so we had box cutters in the drawer so I got them, rushed to the bathroom in the back and cut my left arm 13 times. It might feel “good” in the moment. But it won’t in the long run. What helped me cope with self harm is to draw where you want to cut. I know it’s hard at first, but you can get through it! If you need someone to talk to, I’m here.

I say to hell with what everyone on the cheer team may say, their opinions won't matter in the end. What will matter is whether or not you were able to have that glorious high school experience, and you shouldn't quit cheer just for that. As someone who was a former cheer captain of her high school's squad, I went in with little to no experience on cheering, the skills are something that you learn with time. You have all of the time in the world to be great and I'm sure you will be. Have fun with cheer, especially if it is your last year.

If cheer is something you want to do and have a deep passion for, I think you should go for it and put everything you have into it. Here's the thing about our fallen world, people will always find something to talk about. I'm not saying it's right, in fact, it's a grotesque part of being human, in which many people partake in...words can definitely be very harmful, but the good news is whatever is spoken out of malice and ill-intent is not a true reflection of your character or how you've been created. Don't allow physical assessments to hold you back. Go after what you want, especially in your last year! And, in regards to the self-harm...is there a trusted source you can share with about these hard moments? Hurting yourself is a manifestation of no longer being able to keep things in, and desiring any kind of outlet. I want better for you---you deserve to be heard and valued. Does someone come to mind that can be a stable support for you? Thank you for being so vulnerable with us. We can't wait to see good things for you :)
