I woke up this morning to find a note from my partner that he can't handle his depression and my depression and that he is moving out.
While trying to get the computer organized I found out he's been chatting to other women on MSN.
I have been in a daze all day. Tonight I just feel like throwing up and then going to sleep and never waking up.
I have known that things weren't great but he has been so emotionally closed off. How can people be so cruel.
he didn't even have the balls to tell me to my face. All his stuff is still here. I have so much stuff to do and I'm so tired and stress as is I don't know how I'm going to get through this.

Just thought I would join this group now that I am a widower. My wife passed away May 28th. She was "The Wind Beneath My Wings". When I met her, I was a drunken, dope smoking, fighting, hell raising biker. She told me if I could get rid of the inner storm within me, that I could be a blessing to people. God placed her in my path to stop me. I have been drug and alcohol free now for 53...

My husband and I got our foster license last month, after 3 years of hard work (we had to start over multiple times due to family dramas and Mom's open heart surgery). We spent a year preparing the whole house, guest rooms, and children's bathroom for older kids of 7 yr old and up. Then we got a call that we have been approved to receive twin newborn premies. What, what?!! Babies!? Premies?!...

sry for your situation, just take it moment by moment
(hugs)
People can be selfish at times, us included. And that's exactly what we both have to do right now, you and I. We need to step back from our relationships, put ourselves first and foremost, and get through the bad times.
I wish I could say that it doesn't last, but you must feel this heartache now as it is fresh and new. Cry, talk, write, get it out of your system. The more time you spend on dealing with it now will ensure that it won't hurt so much later. It has to hurt if it's to heal.
I'm with you, hun.
Depression is a terrible thing. I was treated for it since 1985. there are times like you mentioned today, that really throw us for a loop at times. Just remember, you have us here at DS and although we may not know you personally, we consider ourselves as friends because we are linked together by this website and the issues we face with depression.
I am very sorry this happened to you. I send you hugs and prayers because I am a minister and I know the depths of depression too.
I was doing pretty good until my son was killed 3 years ago. That incident sent me into a tailspin but, I am back standing tall again.
I don't have a quick fix for you but, just take one day at a time. You are somebody and your life matters. You have purpose whether you see this purpose now or not.
Years ago, I was told I was worthless, that I was unloved, that I would never find anyone who would or could love me. I was told that I would never amount to anything. My first wife prayed for my death, yet I am here, a minister now, for 33 years, drug and alcohol free. I pastor a little country church of about 80 to 90 people. I moved back to the home town I left, 35 years ago, a year ago in Nov. I am and have been truly blessed more than I could ever imagine so, hang in there, I am here for you and, I will be praying for you too.

I have so much to think about and do but feel so drained.
Some of it I don't really know how to deal with. I don't know what is the right thing to do about his stuff.
It may be helpful to find someone to help you box his stuff up and put his stuff out of sight. I don't know if that is possible.
If he doesn't come to get it within a time you determine, it can go in the trash or to charity.
I hope you are finding some peace with this soon. It can't be easy.
