Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
how real that feeling is. I am heading for 50 years old, and I know people who have done it. There are people that you would leave behind that really would be hurt. Sometimes I think you have to try to help other people. It takes some of the emphasis off of your own problems. I don't have all the answers, but I hope if I ever know how to not be depressed, I would share the answers with everyone. I know how bad it feels and I do understand.

@orsa: I don't pin all my hope on my boyfriend. I was just saying since meeting him it has helped me a lot. Before him I had no reason to live. That's when the suicidal thoughts became so vivid. When I met him I learned what happiness actually was. I learned what it felt like to be loved. I learned what it felt like to be wanted. My entire life I was treated different. I was the quiet, chunky girl that no one cared about. My boyfriend came along and gave me hope for the fact he cared, loved, wanted, and says he needs me exactly like I need him.
@heatherhurts: I am not on anything. I used to be but I took myself off it. The career I wanted you couldn't be on any medication for stuff like this. Thank you for the kind words.
Feeling isolated is not good try to connect with some of your middle school or high school buddies and go on to meetup.com and go to a meeting if you have time.
