Since I was at least 8 , I was just woundwribg cause some people think medication causes the symptoms but what if alot of people have the symtons long before meds cause I know I did

15 for sure, but perhaps earlier. Now I accept it's part of me and that acceptance is helping me to move on.

I was 8 at the time- the first time I remember it. I am now 36 and have multiple medical issues and bi-polar disorder.

Well, I'd say it's been severe for six years, but I didn't even believe that depression, anxiety and other psychological conditions were real thanks to my vehemently anti-science, anti-medicine parents who wouldn't allow anything negative to be said, and it took me a long time to understand what was going on with me and to finally be able to go in and see someone. Realistically, I'd say many more years than six (probably 15 but I was somewhat functional during part of that.) Probably a little bit during childhood too when a sibling died, but I was too young to remember.
