Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

I've been hospitalized three times for suicide attempts. The last time was just over 5 years ago....and I've been told, I was almost successful. The last couple of weeks now, and more the last week or so, I'm not functioning well. I am crying constantly, although I try not to in front of my family. I drive a school bus and cry while picking up the kids (thank goodness for sunglasses). My husband is worried and watching me like a hawk and trying to take care of me, which is making me feel even more guilty. I cried through my counseling appointment for the whole 60 minutes. I got a massage yesterday and it helped for about a couple of hours to relax the muscles in my neck and then the tight pain came back. My hands are shaky...I'm not eating, and I realized that I am trying to figure out how to make my husbands life easier when I'm gone (bills, household things which I take care of). My head keeps pounding, and I feel like I'm falling apart. I don't want to die...but I don't want to feel like this. When do I know its time to go to the hospital? I'm scared....I'm stressed, my anxiety is crazy. Help me.

If you feel like you can open up to your husband about what's going on, he might be able to help you decide what you need to be safe right now.

I am trying to keep it together for both my daughter (16) and hubby. She is leaving tomorrow for a few days with her grandmother....I'm trying to hold on until she leaves. TRYING.

Well, I'm finally home. We had no internet access so I couldn't update. I'm feeling much better! I was an absolute mess, but I went to a fantastic hospital and was housed with others like myself. I met with the psychiatrist every day and attended every group while I was there. My meds were adjusted, and I feel like a completely different person. Hang in there everyone...and ask for help if you need it!

That is result of medications you take to treat it. It takes 2 and half years to get to normalicy if drop everything. It seems like long time but at least there will be recovery.

Many of you know Mr K told me to "shut your mouth" in March 2025 when we took a road trip to Alpena Michigan. Since that time, we have had lots of ups and downs but I have never intentionally hurt Mr K in anyway. And when we first started dating in 2024 he let me know, although he is an engineer by degree, he has an extremely low EQ. Overall, he is ok (not off the charts nice like other guys in...
