She's not dead. I am a widower but she was the first person that I started dating again. I think I put too much on her. She didn't care for me like I did her. I was just a replacement for her ex and he came back into her life. She immediately got rid of me and now they are together. IIt breaks my heart because when I close my eyes to go to sleep all I see is her. I had a dream when I first started dating her. My late wife was crying because I was with her. I think that she was warning me that she was going to break my heart.

you don't forget her .......you remember the good times ....she was a part of your life trying to forget her will only hurt worse ......learn to be happy for her that she is happy ....and than look after your life ..find something to keep you bisey ....and not something you did together ...you have to turn that page no mater how hard it is .......you can right it all in a journal ..and put it away ..... I just don't think forgetting is the answer but always thinking about her is not the answer eather it will only make you sicker ..........I went through somthing similar I lost the one true love of my life ....and I greaves and had the nightmares he was with someone else ......so what I did was I placed him in the back of my mind in a special place and in there I put the good memories ....and went on with my life ......take care of your self ...I will keep you in my prayers ....god bless

Thank you all for your replies. I will try to keep myself busy but the mornings are the worst. I wake up from dreams that I have of her and it tears me apart. I love her and I know that she is better off without me. I have to fix some issues that I have with myself. It's hard because I don't know where to start. I will try my best and move past this heart ache but I expect the same dreams that I have had last night to reoccur tonight. I am actually afraid to go to sleep.

I understand your pain... I'm having the same problem with my ex and I just can't move on. Sometimes I'll have nice dreams about her, that we're together and happy, and when I wake up its horrible because I realise they're not true and she'd never treat me the way she does in my dreams in real life. And then there are other times where I'll have nightmares about her where I'm watching her being murdered and there's nothing I can do about it, or she's being unbelievably cruel to me.
There are times when I'm too scared to go to sleep, but at the same time she's the only thing I'm thinking about when I'm awake as well. It's just a constant cycle I can't escape from.

No, DO NOT learn to hate her as one post implied. Do you know how much effort it takes to hate and how little it takes to forgive? I told you before and I want to say it again, it's not about you, but all about her.! You can't keep doing this to yourself. Please!! Because of the one post that mentioned that you should learn to hate, here is another status for you to read, please.. Maybe he or she should read it too.

Grammy bear. I value your comments very much. I am not ever going to hate her. My love may fade a bit but it will never go away and I am okay with that. I am not going to let 1 person no matter how much I love, care, and adore hwr ruin my view on love and what can come from it. I still believe in true love and I will eventually find it. I know that I want to fix me before I start looking again and I don't want to take what feelings from her into my next relationship. I do have a data this weekend. I met a really nice girl and she knows what I have been through and she knows that I am not ready for a serious relationship. We are going to see a movie. I am not going to stay at home and mope any longer.

Well first of all know that it takes 2 people to create a relationship.
You cant force some one to love you even though you love them. and if she used you as a place holder for her ex chances are she will go for the first guy she comes across. meaning that she wouldn't always be faithful.

if your asking how to forget the answer is you wont but she her face will slowly fade away back into the back of your mind where shes just a silly story. in the mean time keep busy hang out with people or doing something you like. good luck!

My advice would be to have a moment of reflection, then forget her as fast as you can, whatever it takes, try not to let it linger.
