How do I move on from getting raped

in June I was statutory raped and I thought i moved past it until recently I had a dream involving the same events from previously except with instead of the guy who raped me it was my coworker, since this nightmare I've been depressed and crying at work, I can't see a therapist because I don't have the money or transportation right now and I feel like a burden on my friends

Hey, I'm sorry that this happened to you. It must be awful to relive the rape in nightmares and flashbacks. There are some places that offer free peer counseling, and if you contact RAINN (Rape, Abuse, and Incest National Network) via phone or online chat, they can direct you to free or low-cost resources. I hope you get the help that you need. This never should have happened to you.

Thank you, because lately it's seemed like I was a lost cause and I've been suicidal. My only support is really my ex boyfriend/best friend but there's only so much I can allow him to do without me feeling like I'm hurting him with all of my sadness

I'm not sure what you mean by Statutory raped. You can call your local Social Services office and ask them for the Mental Health Services office. They can help you with affordable therapy services. Rates are usually set at a really cheap co pay like $5 or $10, or they are based on your income.

Did you go to the police and press charges against this person? That's one way to work through it, making them pay for what they did and coming to terms with it through the justice system. The Police Department can also put you in touch with Counselors or Programs that help people cope and deal with Rape crisis.
