Thankfully I am not in the Northeast in the path of Sandy. Just wanted to tell any of you who are in the path and may be affected my thoughts are with you all and please stay safe!!

I wish I could bring all of you in and have you stay with me until it's all over. I can dream can't I? Well, we are known for Earthquakes and all of a sudden, the past 2 years, we are being threatened with Tornado's. We just had a warning last week which was about 5 miles from where I live. I just wish everyone good health, and to be safe. I am keeping all of you in my thoughts and prayers..... Hugs to all. GB

I'm in NEPA. Most places closed early today and plan on re-opening Wednesday. The stores were crazy over the weekend with people. We are supposed to get the worst of it overnight. I am not as concerned for myself and my husband as I am for myelderly Mom. She is very stubborn and insists on staying in her own home.

I am on FB, checking in with other family members. My god-daughter just posted the following...."and away goes my new fence."

AS for my husband and I....if we do not lose electricity tomorrow...we need to use our unscheduled day off to de-flea our 2 indoor cats and vacuum the heck outta this place.....LOL

I am in Fl. so we got high waves and wind and rain. Cold now but the storm is gone. My family lives in the northeast so I am worried about them.

I was pretty stressed, feeling fairly anxious and sleepless over it all...finally got some sleep early this AM.

We're in SE Ontario, and it was all close enough for my taste! We made sure we knew where all the flashlights were, that the batteries were good and there were lots of spares...that blankets were easy to find, and that we had enough fresh water for a coupla days. Washed my hair and made hot food while we could, just incase. Filled the bird feeder.

Fortunately, we were spared the worst of it. Lots of people, even North of us, took quite a beating with downed trees and branches, and flooding.

And, for a change, WE DIDN'T get the snow!! How's that for a weird twist to all of this?

I have power so I'm fortunate. Still many places without power. I'm personally just making a huge pot of chili and cleaning up limbs but no biggie for me.

For all of you in the danger zone, when you are finally free of the danger please let us know that you are okay? I would really appreciate it. I have too many MIA:s now! Hugs to all of you.

Not to make light of the people for.going through an actual hurricaine and I do hope all of you keeping safe but I have been going through Hurricaine Sandy (ex wife) for going on 4 years..............she left some very bad damage ......rebuilding hasn't been easy......so all of you actual hurricaine survivors.....may you be safe and not have to rebuild :-)......

Wow, looks like I can finally post here. Sometimes I can't and it's very frustrating. Anyway, I think your idea was a good one, neil. Having people post to get their minds off of what was going on outside. Keeping everyone in my thoughts and prayers.
