Sound like my mother..I can't the last time we talked....I mean about anything not related to my kids. She gave up fighting with me a long time ago.Now if I see her she looks empty tword me. She laughs with my sister and they go shopping etc. We live 5 mins apart and I have not seen her in about 3 weeks. It's been years since she came to visit me for more then 2 mins. Sad I Understand how you are feeling. I just gave up after awhile,..I pretend to be cold to the situation but it hurts deeply. I just see myself as a burden now, and she does not tell me any different..so ya I let go

I think it would give you immense happiness if you could arrange sweet harmony between yourself and your Mom. Is that a conceivable notion? I hope so.

Bluejay.. just a thought.. If you have clinical depression as opposed to situational, your mother may also suffer from it and just doesnt let on to you..

You never truly know what might be going on in someone else's head.. just a thought..
