The assisted living facility I was living at rented my bed out while I was in the hospital and I can't go back because they are full now. Nobody has found an add equate place for me to go and I was discharged from the rehab/nursing facility last month, they keep saying they will bill me because the hospital stopped paying. I have no family to assist me.

That's terrible. I am so worried for you. Where are you living now? Can you get back on the list to go to the assisted living facility?

How awful:( are there any shelters. If you need assistance even that option may not be good. Do they have social workers to help you?

Are they allowed to do that? Just because you had to go to the hospital doesn't mean they can just up and kick you out of where you belong. Can you speak with a lawyer that doesn't charge for a consultation? Hugs GB

I pray that you come out of this soon and will be able to find a place. You can probably call 211 and explain your situation, the YWCA or a church for benevolence funding. Blessings

That shows how much the healthcare system cares and that is none at all until you have some money. This is beyond terrible I am so sorry :( (((((HUGS))))) I am praying for you Donna.

Where are you at now? If the hospital quit paying and your are not at the facility, what are they billing you for? This sounds so bad. I don't know how they can do this to people who are sick. I hope you find some help.

Can you talk to the financial people at the hospital and the place where you were living? They should be able to help you find resources.
