Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I have to admit that right at this moment I hate the holidays. I grew up in a mega-toxic-mess, afraid I didn't survive unscathed. But then, who does? Single parent 4 kids, remarried and feel like this marriage is failing too. Hell of a deal as Thanksgiving looms in the foreground. Can't even say we're having an uncomfortable "family" dinner, cause none of the family is around anymore. 8 grandkids all across U.S. with their families and my husband and I sit in our double recliner without speaking for hours.
I'm reminded of beautiful Gloria Estefan's voice: "There's always tomorrow to start over again/things will never stay the same, the only one thing sure is change." It may not be that we live 100 years, but at least i don't want it to feel that way.

I invited Bill to have dinner with me last Sunday. He wasn't willing to drive 7 hours to mid Michigan and teased me with his beautiful ribs!!! So, of course I ate alone and had cedar salmon

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....
