Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I think you hould try to start climbing up rather than jumping..
One guy lusted after management, and badgered them for it. It was bad for all concerned.
The other guy didn't want to have a manager position, but he would have been good at.
The first guy ended up unhappy and miserable, and was let go. (By me, but that is another story).
The second guy was given a "chief scientist" position. He was a very clever engineer, and in his job he got to help out the other engineers, yet he did not have the responsibilities of management.
I don't know the exact situation you are in, but factor your happiness into the equation.
Do you think that you're on the right dose of meds?
It sounds like you're under a lot of stress.
Please climb. Don't jump!
well, I guess it just comes down to what you feel you can do. Can you yank yourself back up and do the job like they want? if not, then I think it's ok to take a demotion. It's not the end of the world, and maybe in the future you can come back up again.
I would suggest keeping your attitude as positive as you can around your boss/coworkers so that no doors close on you permanently.
((((((big hugs!))))))
