Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I admit that it was hard for me to comment not quit knowing what to say. It is just what I would find helpful to me if I was in your shoes.
Anxiety is a bitch, Try not to worry so much, give yourself time to do your daily tasks and your anxiety will lesson. I hope that helped a little
I am sorry that physical things are compounding your pain issues. I'm no doctor, but I prescribe a healthy amount of self pampering!
The major airport in Los Angeles (LAX) has a pretty decent shuttle network, if yours does then perhaps you could ride the shuttle to pick him up, and then take the shuttle back home, or at least to a shuttle hub that requires less driving on your part.
Moving, doesn't matter if it is around the block or across the country, is a chore. Hopefully the new company will pay for his relocation fees. Even if they have a limit that will help! Moving companies will pack things up. If you like you can hire local labor to help you pack up. If you have a cleaning service that you trust, or one that trusted friends trust, you could hire them to help you. That would relieve some (all?) of the heavy lifting.
So breathe in and breathe out! things are on a time table of their own now, and all you can do is let key events play out, then make your decisions as they arrive!
Gentle hugs
...the only other thing I can think of is Google Maps 'directions' feature...after you go there and type in your starting place and destination, hit 'get directions' and the quickest route will be shown...usually on freeways...but, right underneath the boxes where you type your destination, there's a "show options" button, and the first option is "avoid highways"...it's a longer route, almost always, but they'll show you the fastest way to get there on the back roads...so if you can spare the time, that might be a way to ease the anxiety about driving him to the airport, at least...wishing you peace
I have been relaxing, but here is the kicker. Lying down actually aggravates my back more. I can feel my medicine wearing off and like to take as little pain meds as possible. Trying to find a way to lie down or sit without being in agony.
The moving company will certainly help, but still gotta figure out what to keep and what to throw out.
Hubby wants me to help drive to California if we do move (hugely likely). Ugh.
Well, at least the house is quiet. Surprisingly, the worlds most hyper dog is sleeping which I didn't expect. Going to try to take a nap although my neck is stiff on one side, makes cracking sounds, and my back feels like it was hit by a sledgehammer.
Have you tried a bed that lets you sit up? I have a friend who has one of those and she loves it!
