High school sucks. I'd say find a few close friends and stick with them. Ignore everybody else! Do what you love like reading or art or woodshop or something and just focus on yourself. But trust me it's a whole new world once you leave high school! You just have to look forward to that.

Well, High School is one of the most important times in our lives. It can CERTAINLY be a huge challenge, ... academically and socially.

Are there very many nonCatholic students or only a VERY few? How big an issue is that for you?

Trying to figure out why this is ... like that you are not Catholic(?). Since these seem to be the problem list, you need to figure out why .... then come back to your post and tell us what you think is the cause.

I hated high school too. Life was so hard, no friends, and all the drama. Good news...it won't last forever. It is so so much better after high school. Advice for now is stay super busy. I choose activities outside high school because I felt so different and alone. I volunteered at local hospital (ended up becoming a nurse), signed up for community theater group- few teens but mostly adults but really enjoyed acting, and I lived in a rural community so I also joined 4-H (earned a scholarship for college because my safety project won nationals). Keeping busy worked for me and no one from my school was in my activities so I could be myself and with other people who were not so immature and mean, like all the drama of high school. I got a part time job at 16- met more people not from school. My mom didn't understand why I stayed so busy but it was because my home life and my school life were so hard that I was so depressed. Staying busy helped me feel better, focus on my depression less, and pass the time til I could graduate and move out and on to college. You have many options to stay out of the drama and stay busy. Maybe some school clubs or activities? Or a job ( new group of people and earning money). Babysitting, youth group at your church or visit other churches. Volunteer- parents never argue with that. Just try to stay busy, try to help others, time will pass, and the world is so much better after high school. I just got where my 4 kids have now made it thru high school. They all were miserable with all the drama too but they had parents who remembered how rough high school can be and we helped them stay very busy and the time did pass. Finding a way to help others makes you feel better. Dual enrollment-picking up a college course in the evening after you are 16 is an option too. Write back. Hang in there. God never gives us more than we can handle. Try to draw closer to Him. ❤️
