we're thinking about an idea that i wanted to run past all of you.
(disclaimer: Yes, we're aware of your other ideas...especially around abuse and privacy...and we're working on those already.)
we've long wanted to have a STORIES section of DS, where folks can easily browse the public journals of others on the site and read about the experiences of others. We get thousands of wonderful journal entries each day, and they make fascinating and educational reading.
we've been thinking of a few things:
1) TITLES on Journal entries so that you can more clearly see what a journal entry is about before clicking on it.
2) Asking you more about what you're writing about, for example:
"This is a (choose from list below)
Breaking News
Inspirational
Positive
Funny
Happy
Educational
Rambling
Tragic
Frustrating
Anxious
Painful
Sad
Call For Help
Venting
Poem / Story
General Update
story about (choose from list below)
My Health
Friends
Romance / Sex
Marriage
Parenting
Family
Work
School
Money
Life
Death
Religion
Current Events
Sports & Fitness
Everything
The idea is that you'd be able to sort your own and other's journal entries in more ways (currently you can only sort by date), and you'd be able to read about things that matter to you (for example, INSPIRATIONAL stories about FAMILY) or (HAPPY stories about ROMANCE), etc.
