I am a regular on the "breakups and Divorce" group but my problems have turned from men to me and my inability to get my life together. I am a mess! I know I am a good person. I am 47 and have two wonderful teenage children. I am truely blessed but... Divorce has left me in such a financial bind that I feel like a looser. I am in danger of loosing my house due to the market turning and my ex not paying support. I have been robbing Peter to pay Paul for two years. I have realized I have no real friends or maybe I wore then out and chased them off with all of my problems. To make things worse I work in the Mortgage biz and my job is on very shaky ground. If I file bkrtcy or let my house go to forclosure I will loose my job for sure and not be able to get another in my field (27 years in that field). The pressure of it all, no money, constant bill collectors, no partner (man), no friends (other than on here), is killing me! I look at my kids and I feel like such a looser. My 13 year old's bday is in two weeks I can't afford a cake! My 18 yr old is going to college and I can't even help with the cost of books. They deserve better than me! I have tried everything I know to do, sell the house, get a second job (good luck tith that now), find a roommate, etc... I want to get in bed cover my head and never come out! I pray and pray. I thank God for what I have but I am so done. I can't sleep or eat I just worry and cry. I try not to let my kids see but the oldest knows all. He just gave me $60.00 and said Mom I will get you more as soon as I can. I should be helping him! I can't handle this pressure much longer, what options do I have. My babies have no one but me and I am failing them! Help!

Try not to feel guilty about your 18 yr old helping you out right now. You took care of their needs all those years, right? Someday you will get on your feet and do it again, but for now. accept the financial help and thank this child profusely! (What a good kid you have there :-)
Keep trying the roommate search and see if your local community services can help out with food or a utility bill, so that can free up some money to send to your mortgage company. Good luck!

Change to what? I don't know how to do anything else. I have worked my way up to making $75,000+ a year, still broke stuck with $3000.00 per mon mtg. payments. It was ok with two good incomes but I get no help. I can't support two kids on $7.00 per hr at Walmart. Who else would give an old chick with no experience a chance? Thanks for the thought

You would be surprised! and you could check into some free courses too. Who knows you might find a better job with more pay. Doesn't hurt to look while you keep chugging away at the old job.

Thanks Shutter, I have wonderful kids that is what hurts when I can't provide for them. Tried the short sale thing, no takers. In a neighborhood with builder specs they are giving away! I would move in a heart beat to something smaller! I have been looking into taking classes, costs money I don't have. Checked with job services jobs paying about $7.00 per hour because I only know mortgages and having babies (too old for that now too). Just feel like I am running out of options. The pressure is killing me. I feel older and slipping into a deeper funk everyday! My dog chewed up a shoe tonight and I lost it. I can't afford new shoes! I can't afford anything, not even the dog. How did I let my life get to this. My ex was an abusive alcoholic and I took on this big house to try to buy happiness while we were still together, Not a good move! Now he has moved on, Thank God, but I am left holding the bag and raising the kids and I am sucking at it!

Thank you guys for your support of a new kid on the block. You all seem to be so nice and caring. You should all be blessed and happy! I will pray for all of those who have touched me tonight. I hope you will allow me to visit again and again and again. Thanks again. I was loosing it tonight!
