Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Do you have any mutual friends that do not receive his anger? A coach, teacher, minister, who ever. They may have a view of him that you do not, and such a view may help you understand.
Is there any common theme in what he says?
I do not mean to suggest that you "take his side", but rather do what ever you can to understand his side. Could you get him to go to some family therapy?
In any event, I wish you lots of luck.
ps, can you find an activity you two can do that has no stress? That may help to build a bridge. Such an activity can involve no complaining about each other for it to work!
